Customs: Russia–EU trade turnover grows 46% to $251 bln in Jan–Nov
MOSCOW, Jan 17 (PRIME) -- Trade turnover between Russia and the E.U. increased by 45.6% on the year to U.S. $251.212 billion in January–November 2021, the Federal Customs Service said on Monday.
Russia’s exports to the E.U. jumped 62.5% to $166.096 billion, while imports from the E.U. grew 21.1% to $85.116 billion. The E.U.’s share in Russia’s trade turnover grew to 35.9% from 33.9% in the same period of 2020.
Russia’s trade turnover with the U.S. grew 43.6% on the year to $31.203 billion in the period. Exports to the U.S. grew 62.6% to $15.879 billion, while imports from the U.S. to Russia rose 28% to $15.324 billion. The U.S.’ share in Russia’s trade turnover increased to 4.5% from 4.3% a year earlier.
Trade turnover between Russia and China increased 35.1% on the year to $126.104 billion. Exports from Russia to China increased by 40.2% to $61.635 billion, imports from China to Russia increased by 30.5% to $64.469 billion. China’s share in Russia’s foreign trade turnover decreased to 18% from 18.4% a year earlier.
